I had a combination of tummy tuck and liposuction in Lithuania, clinic NordEsthetics. The scar was placed far down, so it will not appear over the bikini-edge. Got a great follow-up both before and after surgery. I am very positive about how quickly I got answers. Some days my questions were answered just 10 minutes after the mail was sent. Would recommend this to anyone considering plastic surgery.

Took a full tummy tuck, liposuction of the hips and abs splicing. I am very pleased with the result! The nurses and doctor are all very professional. The nurses speak ok English. Doctors and the anesthesiologist speak perfect English. Communication will not be a problem as everyone is very careful to ensure that you understand what you are going through.

Reverse Liposuction or Fat Transfer

Fat grafting cost

You may have encountered other names for this procedure such as fat injection, fat grafting or autologous fat transplantation. All these names refer to one and the same procedure in which surgeons transfer body fat from one part of your body to another. The purpose of this procedure is to fill volume-deficient areas of your face or body by using your own body fat. In other words, it is a great way to make the excess fat useful.

There are many areas of body fat application. However, reverse liposuction is most often used for augmentation surgeries. This includes breast, buttocks, hips and thighs augmentation. Also, augmentations in the facial area like lips or cheeks. A body fat tissue is used to correct wrinkles in non surgical facelift procedures. Sometimes this procedure is used in rhinoplasty.

Things to Know About Fat Transfer

  • Two areas are prepared using antiseptic and topical anaesthetic. One area is called the donor site and this is the area which the fat will be taken from.
  • Fat is harvested from the donor site with the help of liposuction.
  • The unnecessary layers are removed and the pure fat is injected into the selected area.
  • Surgeons usually overfill the selected area because around 60% of transferred fat cells die and are reabsorbed within 3-4 days after the procedure.
  • Sometimes more than one reverse liposuction procedure is required to achieve the best result.
