I had a combination of tummy tuck and liposuction in Lithuania, clinic NordEsthetics. The scar was placed far down, so it will not appear over the bikini-edge. Got a great follow-up both before and after surgery. I am very positive about how quickly I got answers. Some days my questions were answered just 10 minutes after the mail was sent. Would recommend this to anyone considering plastic surgery.

Took a full tummy tuck, liposuction of the hips and abs splicing. I am very pleased with the result! The nurses and doctor are all very professional. The nurses speak ok English. Doctors and the anesthesiologist speak perfect English. Communication will not be a problem as everyone is very careful to ensure that you understand what you are going through.

Preparation for the surgery

  • Cut down on both alcohol consumption and cigarette intake for at least 2 weeks before the procedure
  • Undergo blood test before the surgery
  • Do not use any blood thinning medication that could potentially cause surgical complications
  • A baseline mammogram before the operation and another one a few months after the operation

Recovery after breast lift

  • The day after the operation you will be advised to get out of bed. After a few days you should be able to move around more easily. You have to sleep on your back to escape the compression of your breasts. Patients may feel light discomfort and some light bruising or swelling
  • Any surgical drains will be taken out within a few days after the procedure. You must wear a support bra for a few weeks. Stitches will be taken out step by step over a term of three weeks
  • Sensation may be reduced in the nipple and areola regions. This is often temporary
  • It is essential to understand that the incision lines will stay permanently visible
  • It is possible to get back to work within a week. In many cases you can continue most of your normal activities after several weeks
  • Any sexual activity must be escaped for a minimum of two weeks

  • Tighter and more uplifted breasts
  • The localisation of your areolas and nipples will be strengthened and the size of your areolas will be aesthetically satisfactory

  • Infection, bleeding and reactions to anaesthesia
  • Breasts may not be completely symmetrical or the nipple height may differ a bit. Small adjustments often can be performed later
  • Permanent loss of sensation in the nipples or regions of breast skin may appear rarely

A popular method of shifting up the breasts includes three incisions. The first incision is done around the areola. Another one goes vertically from the lowest edge of the areola to the fold beneath the breast. The third incision is horizontal underneath the breast and goes as the natural line of the breast fold. After the plastic doctor has eliminated extra breast skin, the nipple and areola are lifted to a higher localisation. The areola can be decreased in size, if a sagging breast has stretched it. Skin that was previously located above the areola is dragged down and together beneath it to reform the breast. The nipples and areolas stay adjusted to underlying compounds of tissue and this normally increases the conservation of sensation and the capability to breast-feed.
